Lipoedema
Lipoedema is believed to be an inherited condition mainly effecting females. Characterized by a disproportionate bilateral fat growth in the legs and sometimes arms. Shown to worsen after puberty, pregnancy and menopause. This build up of adipose tissue can be painful, with a mattress like appearance in the buttock region. Tendency to bruise easily with progression of immobility issues as the condition worsens.

There is so much confusion around this condition, is it a lymphatic problem or a loose connective tissue dysfunction? I believe it is the later, when loose connective fat tissue growth increases in the later stages of Lipoedema. This, due to the high fluid load unable to return successfully through the lymphatic system. Resulting in an increase amount of loose connective fat tissue building up in the tissue space. Seen usually in Stages 3,4.
