Meet Sue Butcher

Owner / Lymphoedema Therapist / Educator
Sue has been in the health industry for the past 20 years. She was the owner operator of Lymphatic Services Australia, a multidisciplinary team of therapists working with oedema related and muscular conditions. Sue gained her qualifications as a trained lymphoedema therapist in 2010, joining the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) in 2012.
After holding positions on various ALA committees, Sue progressed onto the Board of Directors in 2017 until 2023. Her board position enabling Sue to be proactive in networking/educate medical health professionals on Lymphoedema awareness.
Additionally, Sue became involved with advocacy campaigns within Cancer Council for better services in regional Australia.
Sue took up a position as the Clinical Manager of the Oedema Institute (a learning and treatment facility in Melbourne) in 2020. The institute provided a service for treatment and management for patients with lymphoedema and oedema related pathologies.
Sue has presented both nationally and internationally on lymphoedema and lipoedema, bringing her own knowledge and evidence-base findings to her audience.
Sue relocated to Albury/ Wodonga to focus on education and awareness of lymphoedema, delivering one day workshops and full accreditation courses for health professionals in both regional and metropolitan areas of Australia. Sue is passionate about making a difference in patient treatment outcomes - whether teaching a class or in her own clinic.
